Chapter 4: Who Has Won the Mastership
Discussion Questions:
1.) Describe Buck's qualities as the new team leader. How is he similar to Spitz? How is he different?
Buck's qualities are his imagination, his athletic abilities, he is serious or how he is fighting for something, how he is determined to be the leader of the pack, and how he is a very quick learner. Buck is similar to Spitz because he is confident when he fights and how he steals food. Buck is differnet from Spitz because Buck doesnt bully other dogs or takes food from other dogs unlike Spitz.
2.) Describe the man in Buck's dreams. What is the significant of these dreams? What is London trying to show us with these dreams?
The man in Buck's dream was teh red sweater man. The significants in the dream was how Buck can remeber the events even though it was a harsh memory. London is probably trying to show teh readers that bad memories appear more than happier memories occuring in our mind.
3.) What is the significance of Dave's death? Does it remind you of any other work you've read or of any event from your life?
Dave's death significanes is how even though Dave is dead Buck will never forget what was behing the trees and he will never forget how Dave taught Buck how to fight for whats right and how he taught him how to sled everytime he makes a mistake. Dave's death reminds me of a book which i've read which has a meaning behind it.

4.) Research "collective memory." Do you believe humans have this type of memory? Why or why not?
Collective memory is the ability to remeber events shared by a culture; I beleive humans can have this type of memory but maybe a rare case have these type of memeory because, maybe once a family reunites after a long period of time they might have events flahing in their mind. People who have this type of memory is special because it might be rare to have this ability to see things being flashed in your mind because know one might have thi special ability. Humans might not only have this ability, animals can also have this ability but there is a small possibilty that can have it but there is a larger chance that they can not have this since there is no known eveidence proven true.
